Order books stay full

Embraer reported a record order backlog of US$35.7 billion at the end of the third quarter, up 14% year over year. Its Executive Aviation unit reached a record US$8.2 billion, 12% higher than a year earlier, and delivered 41 business jets in the quarter. At NBAA-BACE, Dassault said the Falcon 10X is on target for 2029, with a second test aircraft flying since 24 September and two more due to join in 2027. Full order books mean long waits for new aircraft, which tends to keep charter demand firm.

New ways to fly

Tradewind Aviation will start daily Pilatus PC-12 flights from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau on 10 December, from $299 one-way plus taxes and fees, departing from a private FBO. In Europe, Swiss charter operator Haute Aviation has FAA Part 129 approval for its Falcon 6X and Falcon 2000LXS, so it can now fly charter to and from the United States.

Desk takeaway

Event weeks move demand fast: Las Vegas and its link to Los Angeles jumped while global totals barely changed. If your trip lines up with a major show, race or summit, book early and consider a nearby secondary airport.
